Angel

Angel, 40, works full-time as a Denver restaurant server to support her five children. She had more than $600 monthly in SNAP benefits to support her family during COVID. This month, her payment dropped to $36.

“I’m sad and stressed out,” she says. Now Angel goes to food banks to help her get enough food for her children, ages 21, 19, 16, 11 and 5. Her son also works and contributes money from his paycheck to help the family. But it’s not enough.

Angel is able to supplement her family’s food with produce, meat, eggs, and milk from Bienvenidos.

“I’m so grateful you’re here,” she says. “You’re all so friendly, it makes you want to come back and not be afraid to ask for help.”
